Manakamana Development Solutions (MDS) Pvt. The company was registered on 16 January 2011 with registration number 79630/067/068. It has a national affiliation (Reg. No.: 1936/070/071 & 1774/071/072) with Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) for short-term courses of 1-6 months. CTEVT is a national autonomous apex body of Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in Nepal.
With our slogan, “Support of Youths to Harness their Goals through Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Learning” entailing our vision to promote and bestow recognition of development goals at the national and international platform. As a consulting organization having more than 10 years of experience working in remote and inaccessible regions of Nepal with marginalized and excluded communities, the project interventions covering more than 35 districts are launched from two branch office in Nepalgunj-18, Banke (Lumbini Province) and Janakpur-9, Dhanusha (Madhesh Province). A coordination registered office in Baneshwor, Kathmandu-31 (Bagmati Province) governs the executions of programs with full-time technical and non-technical staffs currently working with the organization.
Additionally, we have garnered understanding and experience to take up project components in the light from GESI and human rights lens. Our recent experiences working with adolescent girls and young women have strengthened our understanding on the social barriers concerning access to labor market and income generation for women.
· Finance unit operates accounting software Tally ERP. 9 for bookkeeping, where accounting records are based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP). · Financial Statements are prepared based on Applicable Financial Reporting Framework as prescribed by the national regulatory bodies. The Financial Statement are certified from Chartered Accountant holding Certificate of Practice (COP). · Fixed Assets are recognized at historical cost whereas, income and expenses are recorded on accrual basis within the financial reporting period. Depreciation on fixed assets is adjusted as per method and rate stated under Income Tax Act 2058. · Personnel and financial policies and procedures is established and implemented to segregate duties, safeguard assets, detect and prevent fraud and errors that will result in efficiency of overall management of the company. · All the transactions are executed through the specific management authorization adherence to management policies. The transactions are in fact reconciled with cash and bank statement and verified accordingly. · The company holds official bank accounts in Laxmi Sunrise Bank Ltd and Everest Bank Ltd for receipt and payment of service income and expenditure thereof. · All official payment and expenses will be processed through the banking system for transparent recording and auditing purpose. · A certified company Financial Auditor is appointed to supervise company accounting matters to comply with the existing GON Company Act 2063 (BS) rules and regulation. · A certified legal advisor is appointed to provide and update legal matters to comply with GON Company Act 2063 (BS) rules and regulation. · Insurance (medical, life and health) for all fulltime employable staffs is annually renewed on behalf of MetLife Insurance Company under SME Employee Benefit. Social security benefits for all full-time employable staffs are registered with Citizens Investment Trust (CIT).
